Welcome to a street style blog, organic rural Maine style!

This blog is a testament to my passion for two things that might seem incongruous but are actually completely in sync: the
Maine Organic Farmer & Gardener Association's Common Ground Country Fair, and street style.

The 2015 fair, only one year late!

Each year seems to get a little busier, and somehow I never managed to post my pics from the 2015 Fair, and neither did my wonderful contributor Hannah. So before I post photos from this weekend, I'm going to post style highlights from LAST year's Common Ground Fair. Enjoy!

(I was apparently doing a 70s groupie look last year.)

And new to the blog...

This lovely woman works at my local food co-op in Belfast, and she's stylin' every time I see her, and I THINK, if we're lucky, she's going to be a new contributor to this blog! Hurray!

Dream on

I'm so into the 70s-meets-90s arena look this woman is rocking: the Slash-esque hat, the Stevie Nicks-ish black lace cardigan over the romantic floral top, the sort of Steve Tyler vibe of it all.

Escape artist

I first saw this little sweetie on her own, looking ready to hop on a Danish bike in her handknit yellow sweater and classic sandals. And I figured some pretty stylin' parents must be nearby, and then I spotted them:

Love the delicate shawl over the sturdy trench! Something so Germanic/Scandi about this family. But the toddler was off and running again...

Dainty details

Look carefully and you'll see the coordinated neckerchief, the apron styling of the floral skirt (it's over another skirt!), the pattern on the tights, the coordinated and layered socks. Such attention to detail!

Hip mama

I'm always a sucker for a hip mama. Love the tiny purple waistcoat and the rainbow socks, not to mention baby's classic Minnetonkas.

Patchwork Queen

The bicep bracelets, the embroidered belt, the mirrored sunglasses--I love this woman's wild vibe.

Once upon a time

I love these two--the tattoo sleeve and layered socks on the skirted person and the little black mitts and tiny buns on the other.
